Software Development Engineer – Business Systems Devon to £30kben
Our client is a multi million pound turnover organisation recognised internationally as market leaders in transport and logistics solutions, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an articulate, enthusiastic and highly capable Software Development professional to complement their established and successful Business Systems team.
Based in prestigious offices near Exeter, the successful candidate will be tasked with the design, development and creation of robust and scalable software for use on both existing in house systems and new developments across the businesses, and be responsible for the project management of such solutions from concept to delivery whilst working to strict timescale and robustness guidelines and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
Supporting a range of software management systems for various divisions, you will liaise extensively with both internal and external customers at all levels and will essentially be a confident and effective communicator. You will be an effective workload manager able to review and manage your own internal Business Systems development workload in order to deliver optimum service, and will design and utilise the features of Microsoft’s extensive frameworks to provide exceptional levels of service and reliability to customers, managing your workload on internal systems development life cycle from specification through to testing with full life cycle documentation and reporting on progress where required. You will effectively manage Support Calls on live deployed applications/ solutions so that optimum Customer Satisfaction and system usage is achieved and will fully implement MS Team foundation Server within the development environment for all project based work, including the management of source control effectively and adherence to the SCRUM process managed through TFS.
To be considered for this challenging and varied role, you will demonstrate relevant qualifications (Microsoft Certified Professional preferred) and at least 2 years experience of developing within a standardised environment using Agile methodologies such as SCRUM within a customer facing environment, along with experience of Transact SQL, C#, ASP.NET, Silverlight, WPF, LINQ, Entity framework, WCF Services, .Net3.5/4.0 framework enhancements and demonstrable OO techniques, unit testing and integration testing.
You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess a full clean driving licence as occasional visits to site will be required.
